Volunteer group shopping trip

The volunteer group went shopping to buy some supplies  - a new basketball, an iPad charger and a plug for the kitchen. We used the price check machine to check how much the basketball was! 

Knitting

I am knitting a hat! I love the colour of the wool and how it feels! 

Friends and cooking

This morning in life skills we cooked pikelets and had a lovely time with an old friend who visited. Then more time in the kitchen with the cooking group making healthy salads wraps.

Bethlehem community gardens

The volunteer group went to Bethlehem Community Gardens and helped turn the compost. Then we had a good look around at the scarecrows and took some rhubarb and lettuce home with us.

Check me out! I got to achieve my goal of doing a photo shoot, wearing a beautiful traditional Maori cloak called a korowai.

Katikati museum

I had fun going to the Katikati museum, it was so much fun. They locked me in hand cuffs it was so funny. By the way, the handcuffs were fake and I managed to get out of them even though I was laughing heaps. They had a "jail" out the back and it was cool to walk down to it and check it out.... Glad it wasn't real!! I enjoyed eating the yummy scones with butter we made from scratch too.
