Soccer Skills

I have been enjoying my sports outings out and about. We are learning some new soccer skills at the moment which I am really enjoying.

Steamers at Bayfair!

On Friday we took a trip over to Bayfair Shopping Centre to look at buying some new sports equipment. While we were there we were lucky enough to see the Steamers Rugby team!

Lantern making

On thursday a group of us went down to Greerton Hall and we made some lanterns for the Greerton Village Illuminart Festival oFriday 19th July

the Strand

I enjoyed a trip down to the Strand with my friend Alissa to check out the new playground. It was a nice day to stop and enjoy the weather and look out at the harbour.

Out and about in town

We had a great outing into town last week. We went to A.Js emporium and brought some craft supplies that we needed then went into Bin Inn to buy some wheat for the Wheat bags that we are making in Girls Group. I enjoyed walking past all the shops looking in the windows, and watching all the people in town.

Sewing Skills

n Girls Group for the next few weeks we will be making our own wheat packs. I am enjoying sewing the pieces together.

Personal Books

I have been writing out all the captions for my photos in my personal book, It's going to look great at the end of the year!

Community Gardening

Our garden down at the Merivale Community Gardens is growing really well! Yesterday I picked Silverbeet and Cauliflower from the garden and picked up lots of weeds. The garden is one of my favourite places to be.

Tauranga Historic Sites

For our Friday outing we visited the Tauranga Historic Trust. We were told about the historical sites in Tauranga, and of a Pa site that we can go and visit while it is being restored.

Eggs at Arohanui!

In pottery we made a shape of an egg and I have been painting it. We are using the egg as part of a kitchen project that we are doing in mosaics. Il put up a pic when it's all done. Have a great week. Gayleen :-)
