Animals Album

 I finished making beautiful scrapbook / album all about animals. It has all sorts of animal pictures in, including cute little baby animals that make me smile. I’m taking g it home! 

Ice cream at the beach

 I enjoyed ticking my goal off this week of going to the Mt for a yummy ice cream. I picked doughnut flavour with cream and caramel sauce. It was a lovely hot day to sit a the beach under a tree and eat it before it melted! 

Flower Festival

 I made a beautiful bouquet of flowers and then Created a Card using real flowers to go with it. I am going to give it to my support worker Doris. She is going to love it! 

Thanksgiving Crafts

 I enjoyed thinking about my family and friends and all the things I am thankful for whilst making these thanksgiving themed art pieces. 

Pirate morning

 We had a pirate themed morning of fun at the centre. There were pirate songs to dance to, pirate temporary tattoos, pirate games and even a pirate bar serving cool drinks and guacamole n chips. 

Apple crumble!

 In cooking I completed one of my goals which was to cook an apple crumble. I peeled the apples, stewed them on the stove, made the crumble topping, put that on top and then baked it till it was nice and crunchy. Oh my goodness it was so yummy! And then I also got to take some home to share for dessert! I'm so proud of myself. 

Masterchef Competition

 I completed another of my goals and had such fun taking part in a Wilrose Masterchef competition. We created all sorts of things out of fruit! It was so much fun to see what everyone had made. 

My Birthday

 I had a belated birthday celebration and all my friends sang happy birthday to me and gave me a lovely card and yummy cake to eat. Lucky me! 

Photo Shoot

 Me and some friends created some beautiful crowns and then had a photo shoot in an upcycled golden mirror. I love the results! Queen Gayleen!!!!!!!

Rock Painting

 I had fun painting a rock and turning it into a ladybug that I have named Bob. 

Talentquest

 I liked singing at the Wilrose Talentquest. I opened the show singing Bib Marley’s Buffalo Soldier! Oh yeah! 

DJ Spin Disco

 I had the best day as a special guest at the Wilrose Disco. DJ Spin brought his music and lights. I danced all day and had some yummy pumpkin soup and fried bread at lunch. 

Flipping playdoh pancakes

 We had a great time practising some pancake flipping with some pancakes made out of playdoh! 

Making my own music playlist

 I have set a new goal which is to make a Spotify playlist of all the music that I love to listen to. I can play it at Wilrose during lunch time and share it with my friends. 

Cooking - sweet and sour pork

 I love my cooking sessions. This week we made sweet and sour pork. It was delicious! I’m looking forward to more cooking next year - my new goals are to cook fish pie and apple crumble. 

Wheat bag

 This week I finished making a wheat bag in create and display. It smelt lovely because I chopped up lavender and rosemary to put amongst the rice. I can’t wait to use it at home!

It’s all about me

 I’m enjoying creating my personal book for the year 2021- I’m also making an animal themed album and a wedding themed album and I just love finding pictures to go in them and decorating them beautifully! 

Making poi

 I enjoyed making my own poi that I took home with me. I chose the material and cut it into two circles then plaited some wool. I helped put it all together and then had a practice twirling them. 

Cooking pikelets

 We made pikelets in our cooking session. I like my new cooking group - we have fun whilst we are measuring and mixing and cooking! 

Op- shopping

 I have been enjoying my new op- shopping session. Each week we explore a new op- shop and look for things that we need at the centre. I am using my awesome social skills when I go to pay for the items and have been having fun looking at all the wonderful things in the shops.

Heat bag

 In create and display I’ve been busy sewing up heat bags for our pop up shop. I’m looking forward to takin* my one home when I’m finished it.
