Hi Gayleen here,
This month has been filled with a nice balance of engaging centre-based activities and fun community outings with my friends.
Staying warm Inside the Wilrose centre, there was plenty of time for relaxation and creativity, including mindful colouring in, personal time on the iPads, and peaceful sensory room sessions watching the movie Pan and unwinding to the soothing sounds of nature. We also came together for waiata sharing some beautiful musical moments.
Out in the hapori (community), I've had a social month - practicing my new drama show “The Princesses Slumber Party Disaster”, starring as Sleeping Beauty. I have also enjoyed fun social outings, like playing pool at the Marble Bar, and essential mahi (work) such as doing the centre grocery shopping and delivering the red bag to head office in Greerton.
To wrap up a fun month, there was a lovely social outing to Quirks Cafe, followed by catching up with friends in Greerton while cheering them on during their exciting talent quest.
I look forward to more fun times with my friends next month
