Last week

What a great last couple of weeks I’ve had. I went to the Arohanui Christmas party, were I enjoyed some yummy lunch and a boogie on the dance floor! I also had my drama Christmas breakup which was good see everyone before I leave for the year. See you in 2020!

Enjoying the Sun

I liked going out with my friends to Memorial Park. It was such a beautiful day and the sun felt lovely and warm on my skin. 

Drama

I’ve been busy at drama practising hard for my performance next week. I can’t to show everyone my acting and dance moves!

Puppy Pillow Knitting Project

I am so proud of my Pillow that I am making in arts and crafts. It is beginning to look like a puppy now!

Art Gallery - skateboard decks

After singing and dancing my heart out at drama I went to check out some art a The Incubator in the Historic Village. There were lots of skateboard decks decorated. Neat!

Getting Creative

I started painting a horse in my wildlife art session and a making good progress on my puppy pillow that I am making! I love being creative!

Christmas play

I like acting as ‘Mary’ in the Christmas play. I like singing along to all the Christmas songs and practicing my lines.

Knitting a Puppy Pillow

I have begun a new project. I got myself some puppy pyjamas at the shops the other day so now I’m going to knit myself a puppy pillow to go with them.

Design Technology - Investigating Remote Control Technology

We checked out a remote control dog that moved around and barked and also a remote control car that went really fast. Then we took apart an old remote control to see what was inside.

Back to drama

This week I went back to drama. I enjoyed dancing to the music and liked the hat I chose. It was a helicopter hat.

Donkey Farm

I look forward to my outing on a Thursday morning. This week we went to see Olives Donkey Farm. The donkeys are lovely and so is Frodo the dog. There were chickens, cats and two tortoises too.

Celebrating my friends birthday

I made a nice card for my friend Jared as it was his birthday! We all sung happy birthday and shared a yummy cake. 

Lion art

I’ve been working on my piece of Lion art work. I’m happy with how it’s looking and can’t wait to see how it looks when I’ve finished it.

Drama play

I got to perform my play this week for my friends.It was called a Wolfs tale. I played Mrs Wolf and remembered  all of my lines.

Once upon a time.

I really enjoyed story time today, traditional Maori stories of the Gods and how Nz became named both Islands. Interesting stories.

Morning Tea with my friends

I had a lovely morning tea with my friends Lenaire and Susan from Greerton centre. We had pikelets and tea and had a good catch up. They joined us for story telling and lunch too ..... it was great to see them. I want to do it again!

Rose Gardens

I liked visiting the Tauranga Rose Gardens with my friends. It was a lovely sunny day and I could feel the warm sun on my skin. I like seeing the bright coloured flowers and smelling the different scents.

Matapihi Bridge Walk

I enjoyed walking over the Matapihi Bridge with my friends on such a beautiful sunny day.

Design Tech - Light up canvas

We all made cool light up pictures in Design Tech. Mine is of some dandelions and it says ..... “Make a Wish”. It is going in the sensory room and then I will take it home. It looks lovely with the lights on.

Drama ....... A Wolf’s Tale

The new play we are practising in drama is a mix of different fairytales. I’m playing Mrs Wolf!

Highland Games

I really enjoyed taking part in the Highland Games. I won the Target Board event because I scored the most points. Yay! I liked the bagpiper who came to the centre and enjoyed seeing all the other people from Greerton and Te puke centres.

Arcade

I went and had a few games at the arcade with my friends. There were heaps of games to choose from to play.
