Silverbeet and Peppers

We had a lovely morning in the sun at the Merivale Community Garden. The veges have grown a lot from the rain and we had lots of Silverbeet and peppers to pick.

The Donut Factory

Today we went to the Donut Factory in Mt Maunganui. The owner told us about how the donuts are made and where they go. They make a different type of donut daily and today's were large cinnamon ones. The owner was very kind and gave us all one to try so if you are around that way... The donuts there are Yum!!!

Making Boomerangs

As part of our Cultural arts programme we have started making boomerangs using the traditional dot painting method of the Aborigini's.

Butterflies

Yesterday I finished my butterfly that I have been working on for the last few weeks. I am going to take it home and hang it up. I am so proud of my work :-)

Rebel Sports

yesterday we went to Rebel Sports to buy some flutter boards for swimming. We also looked at the fishing lines and the bright coloured exercise clothes.

Scarecrow Making

Today we started making a scare crow for the garden. We had fun putting shredded paper into plastic bags to fill up his shirt. Will keep you posted on updates :-)

Ten Pin

Yesterday we went out to play Ten Pin. It is one of my favourite sports, and I even got a strike. I had a really good time and am looking forward to playing more in the Winter months.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a Easter Egg hunt at our centre. Our key people hid our eggs and we had clues to go around and search for them. I found mine in the music room drawer!  We had alot of fun searching :-)

Getting Creative

I have been doing lots of creative projects lately including drawing, painting, pottery, mosaics, paper mâché. I am busy painting my butterfly that I made out of clay in pottery.
