What a busy week!

We have had all sorts going on this week. I have been busy doing pottery, mosaicing, sports... We celebrated my friend Julie's birthday with cake and marshmallows. I helped decorate the cake and clean the kitchen after wards :-)

Hunting and Fishing

On Friday we went to the Hunting and Fishing shop. We checked out the tackle boxes and hooks so we can get some more for our centre. We went upstairs and looked in all the tents that we're set up. I liked the tents and think I might go camping one day.

Pottery

I have been enjoying our new pottery classes! I roll out and mould with the clay and am making things like fish, butterflies and vases.

Picking our Kai

Yesterday we went out to the garden. I found the tomatoe plants were all pretty dry from no rain so I watered them all. I managed to find and pick some fresh ripe tomatoes and silverbeet to take home for dinner :-)

Te Puna Quarry Park and Minden Lookout...

On Friday we went out to to Te Puna Quarry. We looked at the sculptures and went for a bush walk, there were lots of birds singing in the bush. We then went on to Minden lookout where we could see nearly all of Tauranga. The view was beautiful.

Merivale Community Garden

Once a week I go down to the Merivale Community Garden. I water the garden and pick veges to take home. This week I watered all the new plants in our Arohanui plot and gave the worm farm a good soaking. I picked some silver beet and I am taking it home to have with dinner.

Fishing!

We had a great day on Friday fishing down by the Strand. We didn't catch anything but I got lots of bites and had a great day.

What a Busy week

I have had a great week! We went to the Greerton racecourse to check out the show jumping horses, finished off a Maori board game in Maori culture down at our Wilrose centre, and... Went to the 'Wear It Out' costume shop and tried on lots of wigs and costumes. My favourite one was the 'Homer Simpson' one.... Check back in next week to see what else I've been up to.
