Christmas Party

  Our Wilrose centre celebrated our 2022 Christmas party with a disco day and pizza and Ice cream for lunch. We all had so much fun.

Connect 20

 I had a lovely afternoon at the Tauranga Citz club socialising with my friends from the Connect 20 group.

Sonic cinema

 I enjoyed going with my friends to watch the Christmas movie at sonic cinema. Its fun going different places with my friends! 

Christmas cards

 I made Christmas cards today for my sister, and aunt and uncle!I can't wait to give the cards to them 

T-shit pricing

 On Wednesday we went to the warehouse to check out pricing for t-shirts as Nicole R and I are planning a special surprise for the Wilrose team for Christmas! 

Weaving Exhibition

 On the 9th of November we went to Te Wānanga o Aotearoa for the weaving exhibition, we really enjoyed looking at all the different patterns and colours. Then the staff invited me and my friends for a nice drink and sandwich/cakes.

T-shirt design

 I designed a T-shirt today with all my favourite colours and designs. I’m really proud of my work!

Caught up with a friend

 Today I got to see my friend at Connect 20! I brought along a special photo frame that I made for her with a picture of us in it. This was one of my goals! My friend loved it. It was so nice to see her.

Halloween Disco

 I came in on my day off of Arohanui and joined my friends for a Halloween disco and hangi lunch! I had such a fun day! I had my face painted and wore some beautiful red wings.

Birthday Celebrations

 I’m so excited! I celebrate my birthday this week - my sister is coming to visit and we are staying in a motel for a few nights and going out for dinner! I sang my heart out in karaoke as I was so happy! 

Magic Water Art

 We did some magic water art using two layers of handy towel. We drew / coloured pictures then when we put them in water they magically appeared! 

“Me Time”

 I love to relax on the sofa in the sensory room and have a bit of “me time”. My friend Nikorima joined me and we watched a slideshow of photos of all the fun things we have been up to lately. 

TV film & music

 Hoping to complete my TV film & music folder today. 

Singing

 I enjoyed singing a few songs this Monday morning. 

Meeting my friend at the Citz Club

 I had a lovely afternoon at the Citz Club (Connect20) meet up. I got together for a catch up with my old friend Merina! I used to be best friends with here - like two peas in a pod - so it was lovely to see her.

Eco Sourcing Manuka Seeds

 My friends and I took a stroll around the Gordon Carmichael Reserve and found Manuka Seed Pods that we took back to the centre and will use to grow our own plants. I also checked out a seafood truck that I would love to go back to one day with some friends. 

Kindness Award

 I received our Wilrose Kindness award this month along with my friend Moeata. I had many of my friends nominate be for my kindness that I share. 

Outings with my friends

 I love spending time with my friends at Wilrose. We have a good chat and a laugh. We went out to the Waikaereo Estuary, found a bench and caught up with each other. 

Cowboy morning

 I had a fun time at our cowboy morning. Lots of cool music and fun games.

I had a great time in sensory this week. Our topic was Yellow. I had a great time.
