Breast cancer morning tea

Yestreday we had a lovely morning tea at Wilrose for breast cancer, we all tried to wear pink!!!! We had a lot of fun.

Eels and Creeks!

Today we went to the Historic Village and had a lovely bush walk. There were creeks on our walk which many say have Eels in them. The water was dirty and we didn't see any Eels...But I didn't mind!

My Clay Fish

I have finished my pottery fish now and am painting it. I used a sponge to put the paint on and a brush for the bright red lips. She has black eyelashes and blue scales and I named her Felicity. 

Tommy Kapai Wilson

Yesterday Tommy Wilson who is a New Zealand Children's author came into work to read us two of his books and talk to us about how he became a author. He personally autographed all of us a book to keep!

Gondola Time!!!

Yesterday I went to Rotorua to ride the gondolas.  I couldn't believe it! We were up so high!!! The view was so beautiful.  Once we got to the top we set up some tables so that we were over looking  Rotorua. We then had a yummy lunch. The day was sunny and gorgeous, and I'm so glad that I got to experience this with my friends.  It was an INCREDIBLE day and I loved it so much.

Library Time

Today for Cultural Art and study we went down to the Greerton library. We found a great book on the Pacific Islands which is what we will be studying next.

Pinch Pots

Today I finished my pottery pinch pot. I started this from a piece of clay, designed it, sent it away for firing and painted it. I am really proud of what I have finished.

Aboriginal Boomerangs

I made a boomerang using traditional Aboriginal colours and designs, I am very proud of my design.

Mossop's Honey

Today we went out to Mossop's honey shop in Tauriko. We tried on some hand creams made out of manuka honey. We also tried out some honey testers which tasted good! The indoor beehive had a lot of bee's in it making more honey.

Marshalls Animal Farm

We went out to Marshalls Farm up at McLarens Falls. I enjoyed being able to hold the little animals like the Guinea Pigs. We had a picnic lunch out there and then went and patted the horses. I had a great day out there!

Fishing off the wharf

I had a great time down at Pilot Bay fishing off the Salisbury wharf. We didn't catch anything but enjoyed our day out and a picnic lunch :-)
